Most famous for the Fort at the end of the road, Fort Morgan was completed in 1834 and was active during four wars. The site is more than just history though; it has nature areas, beaches, boats launches, and golf courses. If you don’t want to fight the traffic of Gulf Shores there is always Tacky Jacks 2 by the Fort Morgan Museum. On days you want to go fishing out on the water there’s charter fishing right off of Fort Morgan Road or you just want a relaxing boat ride. The Ferry is available to run back and forth between Fort Morgan and Dauphin Island in Mobile. For golfing there is Peninsula Golf club.
