Sailboat Bay

Looking for a change from the typical condominium tower? The campus-style Sailboat Bay condominiums may be what you’ve been looking for. This 1996 complex includes 184, two-bedroom and three-bedroom, units over a series of 39 buildings. Each building in this gated community does not rise above four stories. The units are 1,000 square feet to 1,600 square feet and each has a pair of full bathrooms. Comfortably-sized kitchens may or may not have granite countertops depending renovation efforts and some units have a loft area. Screened-in porches from the master bedrooms face the Bon Secour Bay and a shared porch area is accessed from the entrance of the units.

Probably the main features of the condominium complex are the boat slips. Each unit is assigned a deep-water slip that has power, water, and possibly a lift. Also, there is a large outdoor pool, wading pool, small beaches on the bay, pair of tennis courts, and a clubhouse near the entrance. Inside the facility are a fitness room, pool, spa, conference rooms, a deck, and a small kitchen, all of which have been used for special events. Outside the clubhouse is another pool. Covered and uncovered parking is plentiful and there is room for boat trailers as well. Sailboat Bay is about five miles from the shopping and restaurant options on Highway 59 as well as the Jack Edwards National Airport. A sparse number of single-family homes surround the condominium complex as well as acres of open land, which can be explored.
