This beach-front building is not your average condo complex, and it’s not exactly a hotel either as its front sign indicates. In fact, the term “condotel” has been used to describe Phoenix All Suites. The complex has typical hotel services, like housekeeping, and the suites are condo-like in that they are available for limited ownership, meaning they can be purchased but the décor cannot be changed. The building, constructed in 2005, has 88 units among its 15 floors and the 634-square-foot suites have one bedroom each. Units contain either one or 1.5 bathrooms and may also contain bunk beds built into the wall outside the bathroom area. Cozy kitchens contain all features you’d expect from a Gulf Shores condo and a private, covered balcony extends from the living room, providing guests with exceptional sunset view. Wifi serves the entire complex, shared laundry facilities are available, and a pair of elevators are on site.
An outdoor pool with a sizeable deck faces the Gulf of Mexico and a boardwalk leads to the sugar-sand beaches. This “condotel” includes a small barbecue area as well as covered and uncovered parking. One of the strengths of Phoenix All Suites is its location. The complex, right at the intersection of State Highway 59 and East Beach Boulevard, is located next door to The Hangout and is in walking distance to several shopping and restaurant options. Directly to the east of Phoenix All Suites is open land that will be developed into Phoenix Gulf Shores. To the west is a parking lot.
