If the Florida lifestyle is as important as low Alabama property taxes, Phoenix X may be your best option. This condominium complex, built in 2001, sits right on the Florida border and has units with one, two, or three bedrooms. The 230 condos on 14 floors range in size from 800 square feet to 2,500 square feet while one-bedroom units have one or 1.5 bathrooms and larger units have a pair of bathrooms. Comfortably-sized kitchens may have granite countertops that look out on to an open floor plan that includes a sliding door from the living room to a beach-side balcony. Master bedrooms also have a sliding door leading to the same beach-side balcony. Washer/dryer hookups are available as are elevators, a full time on-site staff, security, and building-wide wifi.

An outdoor pool and fenced-off kiddie pool look out onto the Gulf of Mexico. A barbecue area, sun deck, pair of lighted beach-side tennis courts, and a walkway to the beach are also available. Phoenix X is about 10 miles from State Route 59 and nearby a number of restaurant options. To the east of the condominium complex is the Flora-Bama Lounge and Package store and to the west is open land. The nearest condo complex to the west is Perdido Place.
