This centrally-located, beach-side condominium complex is one of the more affordable options for those looking to purchase property along the stunning Gulf shores. There are two-bedroom and three-bedroom units available at the six-story complex built during the construction boom of the early 1980s. Two-bedroom units are either 700 square feet or 738 square feet and each has two full bathrooms. Three-bedroom units are about 1100 square feet and have three bathrooms. Private balconies facing the sugar sand beaches are accessible from living rooms and master bedrooms. Kitchens have all the modern features one comes to expect and complex-wide wifi is available. There are coin-operated laundry facilities located on the first floor, though some units have their own washer/dryer hook-ups. An elevator serves the building.

A boardwalk leads to the spacious beach area and an outdoor pool with a lounging area is available in front of the building. There is a code-based entry system and maximum of two cars can be kept in the landscaped parking lot. Parking passes are $19 a day and there may be restrictions on parking during busier time, like during a local festival. Island shores is located about a half mile from the intersection with State Highway 59 and in walking distance to numerous restaurants and shopping options. A short walk on the beach to the east will bring you to Sea-n-Suds, and the popular Hangout is not far down the road to the west. To the east of Island Shores is the Island Sunrise condominiums and Boardwalk Condominiums is to the west.
