A Favorite Gulf Shores Condo Community
This 14-story complex is an original, literally. The Gulf Tower, constructed in 1984, was one of the first condominium complexes built in the region when Gulf of Mexico beaches were seen for their vacation potential than as a fishing destination. The majority of the 49 units have two bedrooms and two bathrooms in the Gulf-facing facility. These two-bedroom units have open floor plans and are about 1,000 square feet in size. There are three-bedroom units that are about 1,700 square feet and have two bathrooms. All units have private, tiled balconies facing the Gulf. All of them have their own sliding glass door allowing guests to escape nasty weather while enjoying the view. Penthouse suites have a balcony without a ceiling. All units include all the kitchen amenities you might expect from a typical condo unit and there are also laundry hook-ups.
A seasonally-heated outdoor pool faces the Gulf of Mexico and there are several barbecue pit areas on the complex’s sizable deck. A boardwalk leads to the sugar sands of the Gulf of Mexico and a gazebo is available for an extended moment or two of relaxation. The Gulf Tower also includes an exercise room and a meeting room. There is covered parking for owners and parking is also available for guests for $17 a day in the lot in front of the complex. There is a one-car limit between the months of March and August. The Gulf Tower is located in a densely-populated section of Gulf Shores with Little Lagoon only a short ride to the north. The complex is just over a mile from the intersection of State Highway 59 and the numerous restaurants and shopping options found there. New construction is being established to the east and the Caribbean Condominiums are to the west. The complex is served by Gulf Shores municipal services and units have central air conditioning and electric heat.
