Affordable Beach Living at Grand Beach Resort
Not being directly on the beach means affordability. But being across the street from the Gulf doesn’t mean you get less. Grand Beach Resort is a 39-unit condominium complex at the east end of Gulf Shores, bordering Gulf State Park. Unobstructed views of the Gulf are plentiful and the complex’s pleasant architecture provides this location with individuality, compared to the many high rise complexes in the area. Built in 1998, the Grand Beach is made up of a mix one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units over four floors. One-bedroom units are nearly 700 square feet with 1.5 bathrooms and some come with lofts that allow for higher ceilings and additional sleeping possibilities. Two-bedroom units are 890 square feet, have one full bath and one half bath or two full baths and may also have loft area. Three-bedroom units are about 1,000 square feet and have two baths. All units also include bunk bed berths in the hallway for additional sleeping options. Kitchens have a breakfast nook and are part of an open floor plan that includes the living room.
An outdoor pool and hot tub are located in a common area in the front of the landscaped property. A stainless steel barbecue, covered areas with picnic tables, and a meeting room are also available. The complex has wifi and parking is located in the back of the complex. There is enough space for two cars for each unit and there may be an additional fee to park. Access to the Gulf of Mexico is 40 yards away after crossing East Beach Boulevard and condos are a short walk from the Gulf State Park Fishing Pier. Grand Beach Resort is also about a 10-minute walk to the Gulf Adventure Center at Gulf State Park, which offers a zip line over Lake Shelby and kayaking. Restaurants and shopping is also nearby.
