Built in 1983, it is one of the earlier developments in the area and includes 79 two-bedroom, two-bath units that are about 1,000 square feet. Each unit has a balcony accessed from the master bedroom and living room that looks onto the Gulf of Mexico. Pets and smoking are not allowed at the complex.
Driftwood Towers has access to the beach facing the Gulf of Mexico as well as an outdoor pool with ocean views located between the complex and the beach. In terms of activities, near Driftwood Towers is Ike’s Beach Service which supplies fat-sand beach bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, lounge chairs, parasailing and other beach-related items.
Driftwood Towers is located in the Gulf Shores school zone, which includes Gulf Shores Elementary School, Gulf Shores Middle School, and Gulf Shores High School. The complex is between Bahama Bob's Restaurant and Buena Vista condos and the Gulf Shores Ramada and Paradise Isle are located across the street.
