This nine-story, 70-unit, condominium complex is surrounded on three sides by the, beautiful, Little Lagoon waters, making it a more secluded location, positioned away from the hustle and bustle of Gulf Shores… but not too far. There are plenty of amenities nearby to make this a secluded spot and a jumping off point to great places to eat and play.
The complex was built in 1985 and consists of units with two-or three bedrooms as well as private balconies, some come equipped with hurricane-proof windows. They are between 1,000 and 1,500 square feet and are pet-friendly. The complex includes a heated indoor pool, an outdoor pool, which sits on the Little Lagoon, as well as a sauna, kiddie pool, spa and hot tub. There is parking available for two cars maximum at a cost of $12 and the complex includes a pair of elevators as well as a work-out room, clubhouse and meeting room.

Compass Point is wheelchair accessible and has two covered entry points. The grounds include a boat launch area, a pier for fishing, and a small, private lagoon-front beach that gets an annual infusion of fresh sand to make a zero-entry point for children. Other features include a boat slip (first come, first served), a barbeque area, picnic accommodations, and well-attended landscaping.
The complex is located to the west of a subdivision made up mostly of homes and a few duplexes. Condominium fees range from $300 to $500 a month and include association management, common area insurance and maintenance, pest control, sewer, and water. Compass Point is located in Gulf Shores school district and the area is full of shops, restaurants, as well as medical facilities.
