Sundial

This modest complex has some of the more affordable beach-side condos in Gulf Shores. It also features a variety of views that include the sugar-sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and Little Lagoon. Sundial, built in 1985, the three-story building runs north to south from the beach. 24 units have either two or three bedrooms that range in size from 1,000 square feet to 1,250 square feet. Each condo has two bathrooms and many have shared balconies with stairs that face the east and west. A handful of condos face the sugar-sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and have shared balconies. Cozy kitchens were not originally built with granite countertops, but may have them depending on renovation efforts. Sundial is also served by an elevator.

A modest outdoor pool faces the Gulf of Mexico as well as a barbecue area. A boardwalk leads to the beach and an outdoor shower helps keep the beach from becoming a part of the condo. Covered parking is available for one car only. Sundial is nestled into a neighborhood that has both other condominium complexes and single-family vacation homes. The three-story building is a little more than a mile and a half from the “T,” how locals refer to the intersection with Highway 59. To the east of Sundial is a pair of three-story condos and to the west is Shoreline Tower.
